Duncombe Park Country Fair

Visited the country fair May 1st. Easy to book online ticket, well sign posted & we'll organised going in. Fair selection of trade stands, food/drink outlets & activities for all ages. Leaving was horrendous, took a full hour to get out of the field, would put me off future attendance.

Queued for 40 minutes at the gate then queued 1 hour and 20 minutes for an overpriced burger! The catering was nowhere near adequate for the number of guests and was extortionate overpriced! Paid 2.50 for a small cup of instant coffee. The entertainment was good on the whole but the children's rides were also under represented. Queued 1 hour 40 minutes for the slide. Unfortunately most of the day was spent queuing!!

Go in the morning, not the afternoon, we arrived at 1.50 and the dog grand national was under way. In the morning there had been dog shows and gymkhana but nothing we could find on immediately after the national. Staff not well informed as to where events taking place. Paid 24 for 2 adults + student, stayed 40 minutes, very poor value. Beautiful setting. Definitely recommend getting there earlier in the day.
