I took my Canon 24-70 2.8 lens here after it had been broken for a long time. I had given up hope after 3 failed attempts at repair from another service in Brighton. The guys at Camserve immediately demonstrated really good knowledge of the specific issue. I also had text correspondence with Mark showing exactly what he was doing. Really above and beyond service and the lens seems to be perfect. Good value too. Thank you so much!

There are pluses and minuses to the De la Warr. We love the building and have visited on many occasions. As residents of Bexhill we feel very lucky and very proud to have it. However we find it very frustrating at the lack of toilet facilities especially when a big event packing the main hall out, means that at the interval, there is a mad Scramble for the toilets. There is usually an enormous queue waiting outside on the ground floor throughout the interval and there are only a couple of small toilets on the next floor, therefore indicating that there is insufficient facilities for audience. Yesterday, the disabled toilet on the ground floor was out of action. Not good. The other irritating Factor with the de la warr is that they will only allow you to buy drinks on the premises and check your bags as you go in to ensure you're not sneaking anything in! I wouldn't mind this and can entirely understand the management wanting to increase income,, but the drinks they then sell are very expensive. I've often wondered why the de la warr doesn't sell ice cream tubs such as the old Cinemas used to in the auditorium? It might seem old fashioned but I'd happily buy a tub instead of an alcoholic beverage. Also another irritation, once you're in, they will not then allow you to go back out of the front doors, even in search of a quick drink and public toilet if you are frustrated with the horrendous wait for the the Venue ones. If you do go outside you're not allowed back in. It's a bit annoying! That said, they are getting some class acts. We went to see Sandi Toksvig last night for the second time, and she remains as brilliant as ever. The sound system in the Auditorium is generally very good and the seating arranged in such a way that most people have a pretty good view of the stage. Overall, this lovely building is an asset to Bexhill.
