Just ate here. Food was very very average, having been eating delicious food in Scotland all week. Starters had clearly been sat around a while, potato croquets were powdery and bread with duck terrine was soggy. For mains had Featherblade Stake and Butterfly of chicken. The steak was more like a braised steak. The chicken had bits of hair in and was average. Onion rings were oily and a little soggy. A solid 5/10 experience. Not awful but wouldn't want to pay much if it wasn't included in room!

The food was excellent - I had the cheese and onion croquettes (very tasty!), the slow roasted rolled feather blade of beef (the meat was so good, melting in the mouth), and a trio of desserts to sample a bit of everything. Excellent food for a very reasonable price - be careful though, you need to order at least 2 courses, as they are not individually priced and can only be ordered as part of a set (or you can eat just one and pay as if you'd had two).
