How disappointing! I booked to have my brake calipers painted 5 weeks ago. I took a couple of days holiday, and took it in today. I saw the same man who booked it in this morning, he said they would look great. Then I had a phone call to collect my car, the appointment would have to be rescheduled. When I went to pick it up, I wasn't offered to rebook. He just said apologies and that was that. Customer service rating... Zero

Slight mix up with something when my car was booked in for a service. However, only a minor hiccup and the lovely staff went out of their way to make it right. Very happy with their service. Thanks all

well that was awkward. Just dropped in to Peter Cooper Hedge End looking to buy a new iD4 and came away feeling like it was a total inconvenience for the salesman. Couldn't quite drag himself away from sucking on his burger king drink whilst talking to me. The demo car he showed me was disgustingly filthy inside. Really didn't want to sit too long on the detritus on the drivers seat. He showed little interest or maybe just little knowledge about it. All that he could summon up is "isnt it roomy". I wonder if they realise they are not the only dealership selling VW cars and it is quite feasible to go somewhere else. I already have the finance in place so it wasn't going to be a difficult sell.

Although I did not end up acquiring the vehicle that I had chosen, due to unforeseen circumstances, the whole sales experience with Tom was excellent and completely seamless, from start to finish.

Used many times (though no longer) - decent enough service, pleasant staff but poor value. Quoted >250 to replace front pads on a Golf which is absurd - it's hardly rocket science and that price struck me as exploitative. At various points they tried to tell me the price was set by VW and that they had the cheapest labour rate vs other VW dealers... All I can say is that three other VW dealers I spoke with (two local, one in south Wales) quoted 155, 210 and 220 for the same job. While at one point they did offer to match a lower price as a "gesture of goodwill", that misses the point - if I know something as simple as pad replacement is overpriced, why would I be confident any more substantial work they may tell me is necessary is not similarly overpriced? Trust lost. Peter Cooper built a lovely big flashy new showroom in recent years - I can only imagine they're busy paying it off. Not with my money though. I don't care about flashy showrooms - I care about honesty, value and quality of work. Shop around - better value is out there.
