The excellent staff at the Grange took very good care of my gran whilst she was in their care at the end of her life. You can tell as soon as you step inside it is a home that is ran very efficiently and cleanly. There was none of the usual negative things you would expect from a care/nursing home such as bad smells or rude/stressed staff and everyone is very friendly and willing to help or chat. Would highly recommend.

Two & a half years ago my mum was given three hours to live. Weighing four and a half stone she was moved from a local hospice because she 'wasn't dying quick enough' and we were forced to do the one thing we'd always promised her we would never do - put her in a home! My sister and I spent a week visiting nursing homes who could accommodate her specific medical needs and chose The Grange because it didn't smell bad and appeared friendly light and airy, after all she wasn't expected to be there very long. Last week, I visited my mum for the first time in 15 months, she is nearly seven stone, has recently taken part in a Shakespeare production and the Race for Life, her hair, nails and feet are all maintained weekly and she is thriving! Her team of carers led (for her) by the wonderful Nicki, have maintained a lively and engaging environment for her to live in, have learnt as much about her life before, so as to ensure she remains connected to family and friends and have offered her another chance at life which she has embraced wholeheartedly. She is as happy as I have ever known her and her medication cut to nothing more than an antacid. I believe that the team at the Grange consistently provide an environment in which elderly people, no matter what their state on arrival, are given every chance to flourish; they feel safe, without pain and each is given their dignity, which in turn gives them the confidence to enjoy life!
