They left the boxes on the patio, then the next time my husband saw them was when they were back in the van and pulling away. My husband was then left to bring the boxes into the house himself and check the contents.
I phoned Customer Services to give feedback on this lack of service. Richard in Customer Services said he would phone the depot, then phone me back. I never received that call back. (Fob-off number 1).
I can only assume that Oak Furniture Land are not interested in both honouring what the client has paid for (in this case, delivery into the house at least) and are not interested in attempting to resolve any complaints they receive. The website doesn't give you the option to email a complaint, which is not helpful in this busy age.
Since writing the review, Adam from the Resolution Centre phoned and offered a partial review. Because it was deemed that the matter had been resolved, he asked me to amend my review, stating I would hear from the finance department within 3 working days. To be fair, Adam didn't specify which working days, as 5 weeks later I'm still waiting to hear about my partial refund! (Fob-off number 2). What is the point of offering resolution to a complaint and then not honouring it? I guess they're banking on the customer amending the review straight away, so that the company still look good. To add insult to injury, the new reclining armchairs are not that comfortable. Avoid at all costs!
