Really helpful friendly staff. Appointment for dropping off items works well

Impolite if not rude staff. Higher prices than expected. Edit: Thanks for getting back to me. It might not be easy to identify and judge any incidents, but since you expressed interest 1) Within seconds after entering the store we were asked to stop touching a particular item next to the door, unless we are willing to buy it. Although the statement might have had some merit, the way presented was certainly unwelcome. I did inquire about the logic of the argument, but they seemed unable to come up with an answer within a reasonable amount of time. 2) Upon trying to find a fitting room, a space was discovered in the store that did seem like a fitting room. Moments after closing the curtain, one of the staff came and opened it without any warning telling us to not close that curtain, but instead we could try the particular clothes in public view. 3) The staff did try to exchange nice words with us during our staying there, but when I tried to say something nice back, they didn't seem to be interested in listening and they, probably subconsciously, moved away leaving me hanging.

We have given to all our local charities for well over 20 years, however we will not be donating any more items to this one. Understandably procedures changed with lockdown and we couldn't just drop items off without meeting staff like previously. During lockdown we made appointments to drop off at CRY, but then in Feb 2022 when all restrictions had finished, we were property downsizing and therefore had a lot of items to donate. With this in mind we wanted to donate evenly to all the charity shops in the village. We were able to donate to all the other charity shops without an appointment as restrictions had finished. Upon entering CRY the lady loudly and abruptly said "Have you made an appointment" my husband replied "Sorry I didn't know I still had to" he was then rudely turned away with the bags of donations, which we then returned to one of the charities we'd just been to in the village which they happily and politely accepted. I will not be donating here again.
