Leigh's Nursery (Heddon-on-the-Wall)

Our daughter joined the Heddon nursery in April this year. She is our first baby so going back to work and facing leaving our little girl was tough, however I couldnt have asked for a better environment for my daughter to be in. She absolutely beams when we pull up outside and cant get in the door quick enough. Her development progresses so much every week and she is always showing new things she has learnt whilst at the nursery. We have been told by her key worker she loves to be around the other children, especially the different ages and the fact she has the opportunity to mix with all ages is amazing. I can really tell how much the staff care about her and I couldnt be more grateful so thank you so much. I cant wait to see how the rest of her journey at Leighs nursery goes.

My little girl relocated from the Gateshead nursery to Heddon two weeks ago. I was apprehensive as she had been going to Gateshead since she was 9 months old and loved all the staff. The lovely ladies at Gateshead assured me that Ella would be in very safe hands and would have the best time at Heddon and the definitely werent wrong! The staff at Heddon have been so welcoming to us both and very understanding of Ellas initial tears to me leaving her (as to be expected with a house/nursery move) but then shes so full smiles and chatter when I pick her up and seems to have had the best day. Im so very pleased we decided to relocate to Heddon when moving away from Gateshead, I think its been the easiest transition for myself, husband and Ella during our house move.

Picking a nursery is such a big decision for any parent, but we have been so happy with Leighs nursery and, most importantly, our little one absolutely loves it there. We were able to contact them whenever we wanted an update on how our daughter was settling in, but we neednt have worried as after her settling in session, she was already happy spending a full day there and continues to enjoy going. The staff are great, the activities varied and it has a real home away from home quality to it. I can see that her development has really come on since starting there and I can fully relax on the days my daughter is there as I know she is having a great time.

I think every parent is nervous sending their child to nursery for the first time. I definitely was, it was the first real time my 3 year old would be away from me. I needn't have worried from the second we went for just a visit my daughter was in her element. She runs into nursery each session with a smile and the only tears she's ever cried have been because she's having so much fun she doesn't want to leave nursery! Amazing home from home environment with an cosy natural hygge feel.
