I arrived for my appointment on 09/03/23 and was asked to pay upfront for my treatment by a lady called Jan I believe. This was very odd to me as I had never been asked to do this before. I agreed to pay before I had gotten my treatment. When I went into the dental room I asked whether that was now normal to pay upfront which they replied theyve had a few people walk out without paying which was fair enough. However when I went back down for a copy of my receipt I asked a different receptionist whether this was normal to which she first replied no and then quickly changed her answer to its a new policy. This was surprising to me as there were two people that were waiting with me in the reception area and they came out the same time as me and were paying AFTER their appointment. It is clear that this isnt a new policy and if it is they are clearly choosing who pays upfront. There is clearly some sort of discrimination, Im not sure whether it was based on the way I was dressed or the colour of my skin. Whichever it is, it is unacceptable and extremely rude. On the other hand, the dentist and dental assistant were very good and explained everything thoroughly. If this review was based solely on them it would be 5 stars.
