        We last ate here in October and were pretty disappointed with the food especially the vegetables they were either raw or badly cooked, stringy and mostly unpleasant. The mint leaves in my mothers cocktail were brown and nobody seemed in a hurry to do anything about it. Weve eaten here about half a dozen times and generally its been very good but last time it was poor and we probably wont bother coming back. This was my first review and i gave it five stars. We live really close to Heckfield Place and feel very privileged to have such a lovely hotel on our doorstep. Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely wines in a lovely location. Could one ask for more? Yes properly cooked vegetables and fresh mint.
