Alamo Rent A Car - London Heathrow Airport

Rent a car from Heathrow to Manchester and found that they charge more than what they told me. The charge is not clear. I need to return a car on Saturday afternoon. They told me to return a car in Manchester city center but the return point is closed in Saturday afternoon. I need to drive to Airport return the car and spend extra time and money. Alamo Heathrow Airport London UK. We rented thru Costco to get a better deal, from shuttle pick up at our arrival terminal thru to shuttle dropping us of at the terminal 3 weeks later the staff were awesome. As soon as we exited the shuttle staff were ready to get us in the vehicle and on return prompt, friendly professional service. These guys set the gold standard for customer experience. Now the bad, Alamo charged us twice for the rental, when we picked and again when we dropped off, I question in 2023 how could Alamo not know we had already paid. At first they claimed the initial charge was only a hold and the second charge was the final payment until I sent them a screen shot of the first charge being paid. Recommend watching your credit card statement when dealing with Alamo to avoid being charged twice, shame as it tarnished an otherwise great experience, hence only 3 stars Its a shame the accounting and care people let down rest of the team.

Please do not rent a car at Enterprise or Alamo at this location - AVOID AT ALL COST! First of all, 1 hour wait after the reserved time slot before you can pick a up Secondly, they over charge your credit card without authorization or without sending any documentation / invoice on why they are doing so. They wrongly accuse you of wrongdoing on your part and ignore the evidence provided by you. They are stealing money from customers. Please avoid these crooks.
