        A truly beautiful church. Similar to St Peter and St Paul's Church, and adjacent historic buildings in the conservation area of Dagenham, a wonderful reminent of an old rural village, now unfortunately surrounded, and threatened by urbanisation and industry. Such places need to be protected and cherished, as they are priceless relics of our social, religious and architectural history, as well as being of immense spiritual and aesthetic interest. Walking around the church and surrounding streets is like stepping back in time. A haven of tranquility, a world away from what exists a mere mile down the road.
