Golden Carp

I have ordered from GC before but really not happy with my recent order. The fish was so over cooked and very very oily like it had not been rested and just put in the box. I had to use kitchen towels to try and get rid of the excess oil, very disappointed.

You choose which fish and chip portion size you want because regular and large cost differently. However, at lunch time you can get fish and chips for cheaper in price. I bought regular fish and chips and I shared that with my mate and that was more than enough for us.

Terrible service & dishonest staff! I placed an order via uber eats, added a note on the order to add salt and vinegar on the chips, this is something that should always be done anyway. I receive the order and there was no salt and vinegar even though i asked for it. I rang them and the member of staff who prepared the order was lying and said he had added it when he did not. You can always tell when there is salt and vinegar, the aroma fills the room, there was nothing on this order. The owner didn't even apologise! The lying member of staff cannot read or speak english which is why he couldn't read the note. Very poor service, this is not the first time this has happend, they do this all the time. Do not order from these people!
