I am pleased to be able to give the highest possible praise to Dr David Mahani and his team at Oak Lodge, where my family have been patients for many years. My son is autistic with learning difficulties which presents a challenge whenever dental treatment is required. Fortunately Dr Mahani is well versed in how to accommodate my son's special needs, today being the pinnacle of his achievements, a very difficult wisdom tooth extraction! Thank you David, I don't know what we'd do without you.

I was grateful and delighted with the level of friendly service and excellent dental treatment that I received from all the team at Oak Lodge. In these difficult times they all really excelled and certainly put in the extra attention and help that makes such a difference Robin Gale

So happy to have found this practice as a nervous patient. I was seen when I was in a lot of pain by Dr Rosanna and by Dr David. Both were very gentle patient and kind and despite a busy clinic took a lot of trouble to reassure me and to explain what they were doing. Their careful attention to PPE and staying open for their patients during Covid is very reassuring . Thank you Grateful NHS patient

The total bill for my recent dental work on a single tooth came to over 1000 which I had no problem with as this was agreed in advance. However, after a few weeks, I started to feel some mild discomfort in the tooth and so I phoned up the clinic, and was told that my dentist, Rosanna, could see me that afternoon. Rosanna shone a light into my mouth, said that there was no problem with my treatment, but that the gum next to the treated tooth was receding, and so I should rub Sensodyne toothpaste on it which I could buy at reception. This conversation took about five minutes, no X-rays were taken. When I went to reception, I was told that my appointment had been booked as an emergency appointment, and that the charge was 62.50. I pointed out that I had not asked for an emergency appointment, but for a non-urgent check to see if there was a problem developing with my previous treatment. However, the receptionist was adamant that was what had been booked, and so that was what I would be charged for. I would have thought that if a patient was unhappy with their treatment, a dentist would want to see if there was an issue free of charge, especially for a treatment this costly. Needless to say, I am moving to another dentist at a practice which wants to make sure that patients are satisfied with the treatment they receive, rather than use their concerns to charge further excessive fees without telling them in advance. I asked the receptionist to let Rosanna know that I was moving dentist as a result of this experience and, as I didnt get any response, I presume the practice thinks their policy is fully justified.
