We loved our stay here. The accommodation was immaculate, COVID-19 prepared, and very well stocked (the kitchen had better utensils than our own home). Sarah and Graham are welcoming, friendly and helpful while respecting your privacy. The air is fresh, garden is lovely and each morning and evening we watched wild deer grazing nearby. The surrounding area has plenty to see and do; 500 year old local pubs have excellent cuisine (Middle House in Mayfield), Cuculo an Italian Deli in Heathfield is also great, many castles and gardens to visit (Herstmonceux, Bateman's) and the coast is a short drive for fresh fish and chips on the beach. My wife's parents drove down to visit for just one day and they are already planning their retirement in Sussex...

An absolutely perfect hideaway, nestled in a hidden valley way off the beaten track but close to all East Sussex's attractions. It is good walking country, though the weather deterred us from getting out and about in foot - and would be good for cycling, too, though there is a fairly long gradient up from the farm to the Battle road at Punnett's Town. The granary is freshly decorated throughout and beautifully restful, with a spacious double bedroom and a kids' bedroom next door. The living room sofas were declared 'the comfiest ever' by our family expert. There's a first-rate shower and a well-appointed kitchen with two halogen rings, a combi microwave and convection oven and a dishwasher, and a washing machine and dryer downstairs. The COVID-19 arrangements are impeccable and we felt super safe and comfortable. Sarah and Graham were perfect hosts. We recommend early booking, as this would be a perfect place to come after the second lockdown.
