As a family we had a fantastic time at this beautifully presented and equipped cottage. Everything has been thought out right down to smaller details like washing up liquid and candles! The garden was lovely for chilling and sunbathing on nice sun loungers, and we had a great time sharing dinners looking out to the rolling hills- what a view! Than you so much for the hospitality from Denise and Dennis the owners for sharing and for letting us enjoy this beautiful place!

Just back from an utterly gorgeous week at Church Farm. Thank you Denise for such a warm welcome, your cottage is so beautiful, and so well equipped- literally everything you could want in a home from home. Lovely and clean, really comfy beds, just amazing. Even the dogs were pampered with blankets to put on the sofas, towels, water bowls and even a doggy first aid kit (which thankfully we didnt need!). Lots of glorious walks, the walk to Critch (where I would echo the amazing reviews for the Loaf bakery- dont miss their pizza night in a weds) is about 20 mins by road, but I recommend coming back via the Dimple as it will take you the back way through even quieter lanes, and theres a footpath back to Fritchley over the brook and through fields - gorgeous). We also visited The Tram museum in Critch - lots to look round and again lovely walks and rides on vintage trams. Bakewell is worth a visit - about 1/2 hour drive away, as is the Heights of Abraham. And we took a walk along Cromford Canal too, which was stunning, accessible, with lots of benches along the way. Can also recommend the Raj for an Indian takeaway (Belper), they deliver, and its amazing if you like that kind of thing. But the thing I recommend the most is having breakfast on the patio with a book in hand and family around you. Bliss. Thank you Denise, we have already booked to stay with you again!
