A very interesting day out was had here. The museum is welcoming, extremely cheap to enter. The exhibits are basically parts of crashed WW2 aircraft but with photographic a written details of the crews whose aircraft these were, both German an English. There are other items and presentations there, as well as a shop, probably aimed at the younger age group. Well worth a visit. A cafe is in site as well as spotless toilets. The museum is on site of a working airfield, for 2.00 per person a guided tour of the hanger is available, where you can get up close to 20 or so light aircraft with a guide to talk you around them. Much more interesting is this is where parachutists and wing walkers enjoy their hobbies. Wing walking is almost certainly a present to the individual taking part. Fascinating just to watch. A very different day out but brilliant.

Dropped in for one of many visits I make throughout the year. A fantastic, well laid out museum with many interesting exhibits with local connections. It is operated by a group of polite, enthusiastic & well informed volunteers who allow you to wander at your leisure & are on hand to answer any questions/engage in discussion. At 3 PP admission, it's the bargain of the century. Keep up the great work guys!
