Waitrose & Partners Haywards Heath

Somehow Waitrose Haywards Heath has managed to employ the rudest and most discriminating staff! On over 10 occasions my partner and I have been followed around the shop and intimidated at the tills. Today I was being followed by the security guy at every single aisle and he said something to the lady at one of the tills I was approaching. He stood next to me while I was paying which was not at a self check out but with a person that was putting my groceries in the bag. He clearly wanted to intimidate me. I have approached him and asked to have a conversation with him and his manager. He pretended he couldnt hear my question 3 times and I hen run off as quick and as far as possible when his superior approached. The same treatment is given to my partner too. Im European and he is dark skinned. So Im sure its not by accident. There is this short bold man who serves at the till and every time we pay with him there is zero eye contact and he throw the groceries at you as if you are a dog. Unfortunately, no matter how much I like to buy food from Waitrose I am not stepping my foot again there as no one has taken a note of the behaviour after complaining on several occasions not just me but my partner also. From the reviews its clear it is not just us! If even after so many complaint they have not changed things then I doubt they would take this further with their staff.

I have usually had a good experience of products shopping at Waitrose but cant say the same for the behaviour of some staff. I have felt discriminated while being aggressively talked down to by staff or being unnecessarily monitored at tills on various occasions. I generally have quite a few Waitrose favourites and like shopping here occasionally but staff behaviour has put me off visiting this branch of late.
