Beech Hurst Haywards Heath

When we arrived, we waited by the entrance for about 5 mins and then we had to go and ask if someone was managing the front desk because nobody was coming over ( a number of staff walked past and saw us and others waiting but nobody seemed to come over). Unfortunately a lot of the menu wasnt available - there were no steaks, no chicken skewers and no rotisserie chickens left (this was at 5pm). The restaurant was relatively busy but definitely not full and the staff just seemed to be super busy and not really able to take orders quickly or bring food out quickly (we waited about 20 mins for two pudding which were ice creams). There were three of us and we were in the restaurant for almost 2 hours, which is quite a long time for a Harvester that usually serves pretty quickly. The staff were friendly, but there definitely wasnt enough of them to cover the whole restaurant.

Sadly on this visit they were dreadfully understaffed so long waits and food was cold. Not the waitresses fault...they were doing their best but definitely need more staff. Usually we have a good experience at Beechurst
