Little birches have been incredible. We feel so lucky to send our son here. Every team member is always kind, friendly, patient and professional. Our son has gone from strength to stength and grown so much in confidence. We love how you celebrate diversity and provide so many opportunities to our child.

My daughter started at Little Birches last month and after only 1 morning of tears, she absolutely loves it! I cant recommend the staff and facilities enough, wonderful setting, beautiful classrooms and the staff are so warm, dedicated and always there to answer all my questions. Lovely calm and friendly environment. My daughter is thriving and so excited to see her key worker each day! So delighted with this preschool

My son has attended Little Birches for almost a year now, and I cant speak highly enough. Little Birches is more than a nursery, the mentors get to know the children so well, they become friends themselves. Evident when your son wants to buy Christmas & thank you presents to his mentors at his own request! The facilities are everything you could ask for, safe, out of sight, with real items to play with eg old laptops, kettles, phones (as opposed to plastic tut!) & the Astro-turfed garden is a blessing for the children to use all year round. The extra curricular activities are what set Little Birches apart - whether your child attends for a couple of mornings or 5 full days a week, they are entertained with the amazing, thoughtful & creative activities / extra curricular sessions that are planned for them, making every session very different & encouraging our children to be curious at every opportunity. We recently attended my sons 1st sports day and it was such a fabulous morning! Those memories will last, for us and for him. My only niggle is that LB doesnt take younger babies - I think I could fill a class if they did, with family and friends that would place them from 1 years old. So I have my newest baby on the waitlist in a couple of years time already. Thank you for everything you do Little Birches, especially Mrs Simpkins who as a family, we adore!

Of all the nurseries weve looked at or used for our two children, this is head and shoulders above! Forget the image of young school leavers working in a nursery for a couple of years until they figure out what they want to do, high staff turnover, unfamiliar agency staff because of unreliable people whose hearts arent really in the job. At Little Birches Nursery there is hardly any staff turnover and the people who work there have done so for years they are invested in what they do, they really care, its their career and you can tell they absolutely love their work! The actual nursery itself is set in a lovely location with a big outdoor space that the children are really encouraged to spend time in. Inside its like a treasure trove of creative fun! Whoever designs the displays and the play areas must have a degree in interior design because it looks phenomenal and exciting. I only wish we had discovered Little Burches in time for my son but thank goodness we discovered it in time for my daughter, who has absolutely flourished there. Her confidence has shot up and she comes out of nursery beaming with pride, telling me all about the different activities they have done. They cover a huge range of activities such as ballet, football, karate, Forest School, and a lot of the play is located outside which is fantastic for the childrens emotional and physical health. But they go above and beyond they thought really innovatively about how to help the children learn to talk about similarities and differences in their ethnicities, their skin colour, their family backgrounds, even at the age of two. They dont avoid important social issues and they help scaffold things for the children and help them to understand their feelings. I overheard my three-year-old tell her big brother that its important to let the tears out if he feels upset and that its ok to feel sad. I praised her for such wisdom and she said its what shes told at nursery. The culture there is so enriching for them, teaching them how to carry themselves in the world. The adults there really invest in a proper relationship with the children to make them feel safe, loved and tuned into. We will really miss the culture and people at Little Birches Nursery its a beautiful community, and the only reason we are leaving is for my daughter to begin school, which they have set her up beautifully for.
