This bakers is a few miles away and there are bakeries far closer to my home. However, I will buy bread nowhere else. The range of bread is considerable and within each variety you will find bread cooked to perfection. Personally, I like a slightly over baked and very crusty loaf and they do this alongside the same loaf but cooked a little less so its softer. They also make sandwiches and rolls up as they are ordered, fresh and from a wide range of fillings. Very popular with local tradespeople and office workers alike. They also have a hot counter with the usual pasties and sausage rolls etc. I dont eat meat but their vegan sausage rolls are good and popular with the meat eaters in my family. There is a little cafe area in the rear of the shop which does the usually beverages plus all the stuff sold in the shop. The staff are lovely and always chirpy even though my branch (there are a couple) is open from 6.30am. They also take orders over the phone and will put bread aside for you which is great as they often sell out. The best accolade I can bestow upon this bakery is that the bread pudding it sells is the nearest to what my nan used to make, full of the flavour of mixed spice with a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon, bursting with plump juicy fruit and not a bit of white to be found. Parking bays outside although you will need a ticket or there is a pay and display carpark behind the shop accessed on the same side but before the shop.
