Hawkshead Tourist Information Centre

Well..What can I say! We hired some E-bikes for two days and the bikes,the service, and the helpfulness could not be faulted. Literally nothing was too much trouble. From allowing us to store our bikes in the adjacent pub the Sun inn overnight to meeting us and attending to our breakdown and swopping bikes in a really remote spot, (totally freak accident!) No one could ever ask for more! Luke and Nathan and the whole of the team deserve every success. Amazing!

We did a guided tour around the country side. It was a great experience. The scenery is wonderful and Luke is a very friendly, caring and professional guide. We had a great time as a family.

Good bike, friendly service that could not have been more helpful. 22 mile circuit taking in Coniston Water. Quiet lanes, very scenic and surprisingly tiring given we were using E bikes. A great workout.

Won a competition for 2x day electric bike hire here at the local Hawkshead Jubilee fair. Would absolutely recommend it for any non-cyclist/novice like myself. Not something I would've thought to do but the route recommended from Hawkshead to Langdale then to Ambleside then back to Hawkshead was easy to follow and enjoyable. Would never have considered renting an electric bike for the day and realistically wouldn't buy one now but would rent one again for a day trip as it makes travelling so much easier/enjoyable in the lakes. Would benefit from bells on the bikes in busier season (we travelled two days ago so it was quite quiet). Staff at the shop were very welcoming and happy to offer assistance and help. Would definitely rent bikes here when I plan to return next year.
