Wild swimmers using the lake and exercising our right to roam in a lake which is many thousands of years older than the fishery, forced out of the water by a man on a motor boat which was belching out diesel. We clean up after ourselves, we move under our own steam. We respect and enhance the environment, collecting litter where we find it. Mass trespass?

If youre looking for value for money trout fishing dont waste your time or money. Unhelpful and rather patronising staff. My 10 year old got told off for using a single hook lure because it wasnt one that they want to flog you in their over-priced shop. Bank fishing is absolutely rubbish and there are very few places to do it..but theyre still happy to take your money. In the very unlikely possibility that you catch something edible you have to put it backa genuine case of them having their cake and eating it. Its all about maximising their profits. Its a shame, because its a lovely spot.
