It is a scam. My son wants to enter the modelling field; a friend of mine who is a professional photographer took him some pictures. I went on the website and applied to Hashtag Models. Lewis contacted me and offered to my son a photo shoot in Camden. He told me I had to leave a deposit of fifty pounds, which would be fully refunded if I arrived on time or not later than 30 minutes. When we arrived, I noticed it was not called Hashtag Models but TS Studio. My son is modelling for an hour and a half. Then we are told to take a break and return after 50 minutes. When we were back, the photographer told us to go to a different room where a gentleman was waiting for us. He doesn't introduce himself, is late 30, Indian, tall and slim. At the start, he was courteous, speaking extremely fast and asking questions but not listening to the answer. So he tells me my son has potential and talks about the portfolio. I said I was not interested in the portfolio because I have a photographer friend. His mood changed from friendly to rude, and he said, 'everyone and their dogs knew a photographer'. I politely told him I was not interested in the portfolio and asked if I could get my refund. He said that the refund is given only to people that Studio think do not have potential. I told him that it was not what I had been notified and at point, the conversation on his side got extremely abrupt, not even letting me finish talking. He said, ' you can choose a picture, and that will be your refund'. My son was with me, and I didn't want to make a scene. Kids were in the Studio taking pictures, and I didn't want to raise my voice and say, 'this is a scam,' so I had to choose between being scammed or taking him to court. No time for the court. I told my son to choose a picture, and he was going through it when he said, in a rude way, 'choose a picture anytime today, please'. I would not mind paying the . 50 if I was being told. The scam is because of the lack of ethics and professionality. You lose your deposit if you do not buy the portfolio, which costs 299 to 5000.

This is a scam please dont waste your time and money here. They always ask you to buy your own pictures after the photoshoot then they will say- we have agencies who can provide you jobs. Then they will say u cannot find jobs because u r not good enough u need classes- then they sell you one of the expensive packages. Please dont be scammed- if it was that easy then everyone would have been a model.
