Where to begin? First of all I have been looking at other negative reviews and the managers responses are rude and unprofessional. I bought wowcher deals for 5 of us, all travelling from various locations as we thought it sounded amazing. Booking the afternoon teas in even seemed a little odd as you had to message Andrew with the wowcher codes - you couldn't just book it via the telephone or a website. Andrew confirmed all of my codes had been redeemed and we were all booked. The entrance to the restaurant is extremely unclear and we all initially went in the wrong way. Once we had found Bite Me Burger, it still felt like we were going the wrong way as you walk through a dark corridor to some steps which then lead down to a very dingy and cluttered-looking restaurant. The tables and chairs looked all over the place and are all very close together. Admittedly I was almost an hour late but the other 4 guests were not but had not even been offered a glass of water or anything else for that matter. Andrew made some sarcastic comments about my lateness (which was out of my hands) and then told us that because we were so late (even though it was just me who was late) that we just had to wait until everyone else was served and he seemed to make a point of taking his time. He even shouted across the restaurant that we had him in "real trouble" and other diners looked confused by this. If we hadn't have paid we would have walked out. Andrew had redeemed my voucher codes already so there was no reason why my friends could not get started. Why in this day and age is it necessary to have to print out vouchers? (which I did bring but were exactly the same codes as what he had been messaged!) After over 2 hours of waiting our food arrived. The burgers were lovely, but for the price of the afternoon tea you got 1 glass of prosecco (not a full glass) 2 mini burgers (very mini!) and a choice of cake, which was either a Krispy Kreme doughnut or a very basic-looking cupcake that looked like it had been made by a 5 year old for 15.50 per head. This included a 3 surcharge per person which Andrew justified due to there being no service charge (which we wouldn't have paid anyway) Avoid this place and read the other reviews and their responses to get an insight into what it's like. It did seem to be just Andrew doing all of the serving/taking orders/serving drinks etc but it wasn't even that busy. More staff definitely needed. There was a couple sitting next to us who also waited a long long time and sat there looking very annoyed. We didn't deserve to be made to feel uncomfortable and were massively disappointed....
