Manning & Woods Ltd

The first time we used M&W they were excellent. Manning & Woods for the second job, very unhelpful, uncommunicative and office staff officious. We tried to explain that the work they said needed doing had not been done. One of the builders (who then left Manning & Woods) whilst fitting an upper floor window advised us that the felting on our roof had perished. We agree to the job and asked for it to go ahead. The scaffolders arrived and the roofers told them to leave as they werent needed. Later we were told by M&W that this is because they could access the whole roof without the scaffolding and would just use ladders. We were told the job was done, however, we were in the whole time and the roofers didnt go to the front or back of our roof where we were told we had a problem.I emailed and rang M&W and spoke to Amelia twice and she was unfriendly and unhelpful. We contacted M&W several times and got no response. We finally got a response on the phone and asked for M&W to check the work, they agreed but said they were very busy and couldnt say when they could come. We didnt hear back and had no acknowledgement of payment for any work done. In the end we decided to ask a new building company who have now completed the work and have done an excellent job. Brilliant from start to finish. Used them for some structural work and refurb of ground floor. Definitely try them out. Before and after pics attached
