Helpful staff and a good range of well made kit at reasonable prices. Clothes are all Alpkit brand. Bikes are put together in Nottingham and offer various cycle to work schemes. Most of their sales are online. Got a bargain of a fleece that fits and is not aesthetically distressing!

Alpkit built its reputation as a no-nonsense budget brand, but in the last few years has massively increased prices while doing nothing to improve its products. Alpkit boulder pads are the most expensive on the market despite being the most basic. The membership rewards scheme (10% back on all purchases) seems generous but is massively disingenuous: you can only use one voucher per transaction and they split the vouchers into as many small increments as possible, and the value of each transaction has to be twice the value of each voucher in order to spend them in the first place (all of which is there in the terms and conditions but very much hidden away). This means that you have to place multiple small orders to actually use your discount, which would be annoying enough were it not for the fact that the 'Free delivery' that they advertise on every page of the website is subject to a minimum order value.
