I've just returned home from a great few days in the Peak District, where we stayed in one of Hillfoot Farm Cottages. This was a perfect place for us (three bikers) to meet up and stay for the weekend. The cottage was very clean, bedding and towels were provided, and the owners had even put a fresh pint of milk in the fridge to get us started. The local pubs and curry house were only a short 20 minute walk away. We had a lovely curry in the Sangams restaurant, which I recommend you book to avoid having to wait for a table. The cottage is situated next to the main road making it easy to find, but be warned your satnav my try and stop you 300 yards down the road. There's a train track to the side of the cottages, but I only noticed 3 trains all Weekend, which were all during the day. The view from the front of the cottage is stunning, and the owner was accommodating. He even let us use the hose to wash our bikes down after a ride out. A great weekend, thanks Hillfoot Farm Cottages . We would definitely recommend a stay here, and will be visiting again.
