Tried to call to book appointment to have some stitches removed. In first call got through after waiting for 10 minutes. Receptionist transferred my call to another number in the surgery. Waited for 14 minutes, but my call not picked up. Tried calling several more times and waited 10/12 minutes each time but none of my calls were answered - despite automated voice recording assuring me that 'your call is important to us'. Hahahaha ! Really appalling and incompetent service. People really do deserve a far better service than this. And there seems to be no quality control or accountability, so absolutely no trust in this surgery. I wonder what invisible damage to patients is being done ?

The call system this morning was slow but I was offered the choice of a face to face appointment or telephone consultation. I opted for face to face and was given a same day appointment for 11am with Dr Gohal. Dr Gohal acquainted himself with my medical history before the consultation and carried out a thorough examination before prescribing antibiotics and nasal spray. Dr Gohal was extremely professional and put me at ease straight away. The medical team and support staff work really hard despite the challenges facing our beloved NHS!

It's a real rip-roaring rollercoaster of emotions going here. And yes, my legions of internet fans can find me by reading this review. Except they can't. They're the kind of people who enjoy watching Star Trek Picard, so their mental fortitude has the consistency of a pack of Haribo. We all know NHS has nothing in the way of resources (see also: money) so when you actually go, you only generally tend to do so because you think death is a possibility. The thing is, you're going to get fobbed off - this is one of those surgeries that you read about in clickbait articles where they'll tell a patient that they've been pregnant for 28 months and haven't been able to diagnose the fact that she ate a tyre. So let's get down to the three stars, shall we? I've seen three doctors here: The first was this older dude who doesn't really care much for what a patient tells them or the scientific method of diagnosis (take several deep breaths and when I take your oxygen saturation act happy it's 100% because, y'know, everyone takes deep breaths while at home) and once, when I saw him after a bout of rectal bleeding, not for the first time and no I am not joking, his only response was "you've put me in a bit of a difficult position." Really Doc? I'm crapping blood and I'm supposed to worry about how this makes you look to your peers? Is it so hard to send me to the camera-up-the-bum people? There's also a lady who would practices nihilism, such is her bedside manner. That's only because trepanning is illegal. If it was only mildly frowned upon then she'd whip out the Black and Decker before you could say "no one thinks headaches are caused by demons anymore." The saving grace, and I do mean grace, of this place is Dr. Barrett. She is compassionate, caring, and is happy to refer patients to a specialist. She was the only doctor who listened and aided my wife when she needed help, and she has helped me on numerous occasions, too. Other doctors will fob you off, not do the work, and hope you don't return. If you're looking to register here and Dr. Barrett has moved on then look into going private instead.
