Mark Dowd dealt with my order. Not the first time this has happened but customer service has clearly gone down hill. Called them to explain I needed a custom order, was told to also email them my requirements which I did. They sent me everything cut to the wrong length, when I tried to ask them to rectify the issue they claimed I never emailed them even though I have proof. Refused to sort the issue out. Bunch of monkeys.

I was a bit worried about some of these reviews, but my experience today was perfectly pleasant and painless. I rang them with a question and then placed an order online mid-morning, and after lunch they phoned to say it was ready for collection. Seemed a friendly and helpful bunch, and the bits were cut exactly as ordered.

I too am quite surprised by the number of negative reviews. I ordered some cut pieces of 60mm bar and I was contacted by them to say they didn't have the correct thickness in stock. I was happy to accept a slightly thinner product and even changed my instruction for cutting via my e-mail response to them. I asked for a particular length for each piece and this was achieved with a tolerance of +0.1mm to +0.15mm which of course is incredible for a cutting service and also showed significant insight into what I was manufacturing and how I was doing it. Absolute minimum edge draw-filing and polishing was required on my part for my finished items. I'm thinking the negative reviews date back years so this company has obviously improved its customer service by a fair amount. Delivery was a few days and their delivery cost was half the price of their competitors which made a difference to the total for my modest order.
