Sadly I cannot give 0 stars as if I could I would. Do not put your relatives in Heathlands as you will never have peace of mind. The care if you can call it that is appalling. No interaction at all they are just left to wander on their own. Personal care is non existent. Heathlands say that the staff are dementia trained but they are not able to wash a person with dementia who is agitated by personal care so they leave her unwashed and dirty. Every person deserves dignity and respect no matter what age or what illness they have Heathlands are not able to give the appropriate care that is needed. If you want to leave a care home after a visit feeling that your relative is being well cared for please avoid Heathlands.

sadly this home was not what we thought, we had two safe guarding issues one from a resident and one from a member of staff hurting my mum there were several times i had to ask for a quilt for my mums bed and in fact she was left all night in December with just a thin blanket on her i found one of her tablets on her bed she wasn't showered regularly her pad wasn't changed regularly they never picked up on things like water infections and when my mums toe was swollen and inflamed i had to notify them of anything wrong with her they are short staff and the lounge which has now been taken away is a room left unmonitored the interaction and entertainment with residents is poor if you complain the staff tend to ignore you and management evict them if you complain about things not being right this happened to us and another resident we have now moved our mum where she is joining in and much happier. I would say think again before you put you loved one in here

They do minimum interaction with residents. Very rarely will you see staff looking after residents. We are lucky in that finances allowed for my beautiful mother-in-law to be moved somewhere else after nonstop poor care! I can not express how much she has come on since she left. She has severe dementia and this care home neglected her! She had no interaction, just walked the corridors alone day and night, with no encouragement to eat and as a result lost so much weight she was wasting away. She was never clean with the home just constantly reporting it was because they were understaffed. In the few weeks she has been away from this place she has gained weight and her mindset has improved dramatically. Do not leave your loved ones here. It breaks my heart that other residents are left here knowing they are neglected and the CQC is not doing enough to intervene.

Although my friends seem to have been well looked after, to get anyone to respond to calls is impossible. I have left two messages last week, one the day before my friend died, when I was told that someone would REACH OUT to me, no reply. Today I left two messages with the Remote contact, who emailed the home and then tried repeatedly to phone them, it is now 17.06 as so far no response. The reason for phoning was to arrange to take my friends widow out for the afternoon, obviously this did not happen. I do hope this will encourage the Home to respond in some way.

sadly this home was not what we thought, we had two safe guarding issues one from a resident and one from a member of staff hurting my mum
there were several times i had to ask for a quilt for my mums bed and in fact she was left all night in December with just a thin blanket on her
i found one of her tablets on her bed
she wasn't showered regularly
her pad wasn't changed regularly
they never picked up on things like water infections and when my mums toe was swollen and inflamed i had to notify them of anything wrong with her
they are short staff and the lounge which has now been taken away is a room left unmonitored
the interaction and entertainment with residents is poor
if you complain the staff tend to ignore you and management evict them if you complain about things not being right this happened to us and another resident
we have now moved our mum where she is joining in and much happier.
