Awful service. I hired a shredder from them, it came and was faulty. They sent a replacement out the next day and again it was faulty, blunt blade. They obviously do not check the units before they send them out. I am only trying to shred small branches and leaves from a laurel bush so I'm not using it for anything it shouldn't be. I called them up and was being passed around to different branches, I wanted to raise a complaint as I felt the service was poor but was at first told there is no complaint procedure within this company. I then went on to a branch manager, again I said I wanted to raise a complaint he said a complaint will be raised and I asked will I be notified of a resolution, he said the resolution is that I will be refunded, which I do not think is an acceptable resolution as I took a day off work to do this job and I have been massively inconvenienced. I have worked in customer service for years and I have never been with a company where there is no proper complaint procedure in place. I will be taking this to trading standards as they have not delivered on their promise as a company. For a company the size of HSS it's absolutely laughable, it's honestly the worst customer service I have ever encountered and I will never recommend this cowboy of a company. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
