Shiplu Tandoori Restaurant

It's a shame to write this as the food is lovely. Unfortunately the delivery service is awful. We ordered online. order confirmation stated delivery time as 19.39, 40 minutes from placing the order. At 20.00 I called the restaurant only to be told the food was only just leaving. The food turned up finally at 20.39, but we got received wrong order. We called the restaurant and they said they would get the driver back. 10 minutes later it arrived, the food package smelt heavily of cigarette smoke and the food was cold. The food tastes amazing but the service let's the restaurant down.

After perusing their online menu, we made up an order to the cost of 16.08. I called the restaurant to place the order and was told the total was 22.50. When I asked them to check they explained that their prices had gone up - fair enough - after Covid most restaurants have had to put their prices up but this should be reflected on their website. The vegetable thali was not very good and not the standard we had experienced previously. The two side dishes had gone up in price from 2.66 to 4.45. One of them was Ali Gobi which is cauliflower and potato. There were literally two pieces of cauliflower in the side dish, the rest being the cheaper ingredient of potato. For that price, there should have been more cauliflower. Overall very disappointing:(
