Gracie Barra Hastings

Visited on Saturday for a workshop, was fairly apprehensive about it, having never done any sort of martial arts, all I can say is Paul and Ali are amazing, they take all the nerves out of being there, friendly welcoming and brilliant at explaining stuff. Paul and Ali are fantastic instructors! relaxed yet informative atmosphere. Lovely group of students at the gym. Both very competitive (if you want it to be) and fun gym.

Was visiting Hastings and dropped in on Paul and Ali. Great academy and was also warmly received by their students. Definitely planning another visit next year.

First time going this morning. Was a fantastic atmosphere. I fealt on the same level as everyone else, there was no ego in sight. Would recommend trying out here, training was on point with step by steps easily shown, the energy was great. Im a shy person and dont really like to communicate, but i fealt very welcomed here and was fun also. Fully recommend. Update: 2 years later and still training here at Gracie Barra Hastings. I'm now a blue belt! these last two years i have to say, my last review above is still standing strong. I've come along way since i first started here. I've had a bumpy road over the last two years, but training here, learning from Ali & Paul has really taken me to new levels. My confidence is so much better, i feel like I'm building a new and improved character in my self. I'm no longer that shy either, my self worth feels so much more. They really do help with not only just training BJJ, but helping with your mental health. They are inspiring here, they have pushed me to new levels, and probably not even realised the impact it has had in my life in general. I'm not over exaggerating at all. All its taken so far is 2 years and i feel so good being apart of gracie barra. I feel blessed and appreciate everything they and the team here has done, helping me through this journey to becoming a BETTER person. Thank you. Oss.
