We had a fantastic night away staying in the The Yellow Suite. The room was just amazing with everything you needed for a relaxing stay. The hosts Graham and Karen were both so very welcoming, friendly and funny. The whole house was a treat for the eyes and had some beautiful furniture and art. The breakfast could not be faulted. We will definitely return to experience the hospitality again.

I stayed one night for a solo treat and am so glad I chose to stay here! Such great attention to detail and so many special touches. The place feels luxurious, but somehow still very homely and relaxed too. Theyve really nailed the guest experience. Delicious breakfast and Karen was very welcoming. The Old Town is a beautiful part of town too. I didnt want to leave and hope to come back one day!

This place is an absolute gem. There is great attention to detail, and there are a lot of little things that are thought of and included as part of the stay. Check-in/check-out: First of all when we arrived, we were able to check in earlier than the normal check-in time which was very appreciated because we were extremely tired. For check out, we just left the key on our breakfast table and it was all good. Breakfast: The breakfast was absolutely unbelievable, unfortunately we only made it for 1 out of the 3, because we were jetlagged. Sleep/bed: The beds are very comfortable, Room: we were in the green room for 3 nights. the room is good size with lots of little things to make the stay very comfortable. The bathroom is small, wouldve preferred if it was bigger, but keeping in mind that we are in a 16th century dwelling, it is quite amazing. The history of this place is also incredible, and the owners spent a lot of time it seems on the little details. Location: absolutely perfect location, central in the middle of the old town with tons of restaurants and things to see and do. Little extras: they offer a wonderful sitting area with great tasting cake and for the drinkers, an honesty bar. Staff: all the stuff we interacted with including the owners, were absolutely delightful. The bad: not much the hotel can do about this, but fair warning to travelers: the street is very quiet, but at night the birds squawk starting at about 2 am and they keep on making noise all night/day and the windows dont seem to offer too much noise dampening. There is no elevator, so I imagine for some people it would be hard to get the luggage up or down the stairs. I was helped by my friend, so it was OK for us. I am sure the owner would probably help out with the luggage, if that was ever an issue. The other not great thing, there is a doorbell on the front door, that seems to ring extremely loudly right in our room, this wouldve been OK since it only got rang twice once at 10:30 and once at noon on two different days, but we just happen to be sleeping at those times because we were jetlagged. It would be nice if the doorbell wasnt ringing right in our room.
