I called in January to book a telephone appointment, the receptionist was helpful but when it came to my phone appointment I was left feeling very distressed. I spoke to Dr Maloney. The call was regarding my deteriorating mental health after being taken of my medication with no warning when I called to renew my prescription with only 2 pills left in the pack last June. I was on anti depressants, a medication in which you cant just be taken off instantly, its a slow process and you should be eased off them, but this doctor didnt care, they were snatched from me leading to a massive deterioration of my mental health! When I had my phone call appointment with Dr Maloney a month after booking it, she was very patronising and not at all sensitive to my situation. I was spoken to as if my problems didnt matter and was left feeling worse than prior to the call. It was evident she had no idea what to say, which was so unprofessional. She referred to my situation as a small challenge and then began to stutter and not speak properly after realising what she had just said. She made me feel like my mental health wasnt valid. Baring in mind myself and my mum have begged multiple times for them to do something to help, specifically this doctor. It was as if she just wanted to get me off the phone. Absolutely disgusting, the people who are supposed to help, do not help, and 9 times out of 10 leave you feeling even worse.
