After unexpectedly losing my son I needed help, I was out of my depth until I contacted Alan, he has been absolutely amazing, supportive and comforting to me and my family providing dedicated guidance and assistance through every aspect, when he told us he would look in on my son every day we knew that he was in the best possible hands. Thank you Alan for everything youve done for us as a family and most importantly for Cam.

If you want a caring professional team. Please read this. Alan took the stress away in these hard difficult time to make things run smoothly with his well organised team. He just organised everything that our family wanted.I felt that you couldnt ask for a more professional team to make you rest assured that while you and your family are all grieving your loss, that your loved one was being cared and looked after. Alan even organised Jonathan Mendenhall to conduct the service as family requested this. Jonathan was marvellous and took time to meet the family and made some phone calls to be able to do an eulogy that was fitting and captured our loved as we saw her. We couldnt of asked for a better service. Again thank you Alan.

Following the sudden passing of our thirty-three year old son, independent Funeral Director Alan Gannon, of Alan Gannon and Sons, came highly recommended. Following an immensely difficult week of dealing with legal and medical agencies, we spoke with Alan, who listened attentively and calmly talked us through the various services that might be appropriate with the utmost compassion, sensitivity and a complete clarity that put our minds to rest. The care and consideration displayed were really second to none, not least when changes and requests were made at relatively short notice. These included visits to see our son at the funeral parlour, in which Alan welcomed us into a highly appropriate, calm and serene atmosphere, while affording us and subsequently close family members the time, space and privacy to grieve with dignity. Likewise with his choice of a highly sympathetic celebrant, the wonderful Debbie Goodsell, the speedy production of Order of Service pamphlets, arrangement of floral wreaths, co-ordinating every aspect of the service itself with flexibility, and his aftercare service, including organising keepsakes that will remain with loved ones forever. Alans ethos is very much of the order that while parents and loved ones come to terms with loss and encounter the grieving process, the funeral directors role prior to, during and following the service is to take care of the practical process in the background; quietly, without any pressure or fuss, and to carry these out with the utmost professionalism. In short, Alan provides highly individuated care and support during periods of loss so that loved ones can grieve with dignity, contemplation, silence, tears and smiles. There would be no hesitation to use Alans services in the future. You are fantastic Alan. Nina and Anselm
