Your Dental Care

My autistic 9 year old had an appointment this afternoon. He needs a filling in one of his molars hes been in pain with toothache for weeks but its impossible to get an appointment. After managing to get one for today in the school holidays and unable to drive with 4 young children I phoned the office to see if it was ok for my sister to take him to the appointment. With 7 kids between us we wouldnt all fit in her car so I had to stay to watch the other kids. She said that was fine as long as I gave permission for my sister to sign all the forms etc which I did. I then went on to explain that he would need a referral for a filling and would that still be ok for her to sign for that. The receptionist said that would all be ok. Great! So my sister does the 40 minute drive to the dentist surgery because we recently moved from bexhill and cant seem to find a dentist closer with space to register with. The dentist sees my son and says he wont refer him because I wasnt there to sign the forms. My sister phoned me from the waiting room to tell me and put me on loud speaker for the receptionist who denied any knowledge of me asking about the referral and if that was still ok for my sister to take him. How convenient! I would avoid this place unless you want to wait months for appointments, a receptionist who doesnt know what shes doing clearly and is in such a rush to get off the phone to you that she is t even paying attention to what your asking her. Absolute joke of a practise.

My previous review was 2 stars but I'd like to update it to 4. The friendliness and kindness had me at ease and everything was explained to me in an easy way to understand. Thank you for a fantastic visit.

I went to this dentist because my crown came off. When I asked him to disinfect the hole before putting it back on, the dentist said it's not necessary and I asked him to at least clean the hole before putting the crown on, and he said, "You don't need to clean because the mouth is full of bacteria anyway, also it doesn't look dirty''. I was so shocked that I ran away. How can such a dentist get a dentist's license?

Absolutely disgusted with the dentist here. I suffer with anxiety and because it got the better of me the day I was due an appointment I had to cancel. The dentist then refused to see me AT ALL at this practice forcing me to find somewhere else and start all over again, thanks!!

Was seen at this practice as a one off and it was a great experience. Great covid-19 things in place and lovely dentist and receptionist.
