Staff are fantastic, sweet lovely and kind.. but spar is overpriced and 9.9 times out of 10 you get rotten fruit & veg and also meat. Brown raw mince at full price. Even milk has usually gone off for full price. Not impressed with fresh variety.

Never disappoints, lots of interesting deals and fairly priced for a convenience store

I have used this shop since 2005 when we moved to the area. I find this convenient when I need some more milk since you can currently buy two 2 litre bottles for 2.20. This shop is useful for the odd thing such a packet of biscuits, tea or coffee, but there is a limited choice of things for main meals and you can't do your weekly shopping here. The selection of products has been not changed at all in the 12 years I have been using this shop. Factory-produced bread and cake selection is poor. Baked on the premises bread is a bit better. Fruit and Veg on display has often exceeded shelf life. Sometimes the staff are friendly, but more often they are not and you don't feel welcome.
