TC Carpentry and Building LTD

We had an enormously positive experience with Tom and his team for a number of reasons, all of which were the type of things that one worries about before starting a piece of work with a contractor you've never worked with before. Firstly, they mobilised quickly and with no false promises - they committed to getting quite a big job done within a really difficult timescale (which we imposed on them) and despite all the changes we asked for during implementation they finished a week early. Two, they were always pleasant to work with. Not just Tom, who was great, but all of the guys on site were always friendly and helpful and every time I was there (often unannounced) everyone was always working hard and getting stuff done. Tom in particular was great and was always flexible and ready to answer any questions we had or talk about the art of the possible, which is so important as you start to see it all come together. Lastly, I never felt that financially they were acting in any way but in my best interest. The prices of activities were good, their invoices came across on time and as agreed and the one time we collectively found a mistake (which is inevitable in any big piece of work), it was sorted immediately and the remainder credited. I couldn't recommend them more and they would be my first choice next time we needed something done

Fantastic service. On time, professional and easy to communicate with. I loved the completed work and will certainly use the company again. They built substantial shelving in my home and fitted a beautiful set of shelves and desk in my office. We have worked with TC Carpentry on a number of projects. Tom and his team have only had favourable feedback from our clients, with their can do attitude and attention to detail, a quality finish is inevitable ! Tom has fantastic planning and organisational skills which supported by his knowledge and flexibility to the inevitable challenges we face on any building project, makes for a stress free environment. He is ideally suited to support the Client Experience we create at Design Atelier for our clients !

We hired Tom for various renovations in our new house, including several built-in cabinets and cupboards, new bookshelves, removal and bricking up of a fireplace, laying new carpets, installation of new radiators, lights, and fitting a new WC, as well as painting and decorating several large rooms. Tom was always very responsive and easy to communicate with, polite and professional. He project managed and arranged the various different trades to come and do each job smoothly each week, which made our lives a lot easier. A few issues cropped up along the way (e.g. one of the new radiators began to leak; the wrong carpets were laid initially) - when these happened Tom was easy to deal with and made sure it got resolved. His guys are friendly and reliable. We are happy to recommend them and plan to hire their services for further jobs in the future.

Tom and his team at TC Carpentry and Building and their partners have been excellent. We went ahead for a complete refurbishment of the outer facade of the property, a tall Edwardian house. In spite of all the different tasks to be peformed, like a complicated scaffolding, removal of old pointings, repointing of the whole house, exchange of blown bricks, renewals of gutters, facias and soffits, renovation of old cast iron downpipes, fixing of roof valleys, insulating, re-painiting, siliconing etc. all tasks were coordinated by Tom who also performed work himself. This gave us peace of mind. The project was finished to our entire satisfaction on schedule.
