We needed a concrete base made at short notice and James was happy to accommodate us within our time scale. We also asked if he did decking and were pleased when he said yes. Our decking area was 20 years old and the deck boards were disintegrating but after carrying out an inspection he said the underlying structure was sound so only the boards needed replacing. His quote was fair and he and his hard-working team carried out the renovations efficiently and very competently. That whole area has been given a new lease of life and looks very smart. I am very pleased with the work James has done for us and would not hesitate to recommend him.

We have used Montier Building Services for a number of recent renovation projects and are delighted with the results. James was professional, highly knowledgeable and reliable. Will definitely use this company again and highly recommend. Works undertaken included kitchen & bathroom redesign and installation, plastering, concrete shed base, patio & fencing.

James has recently completed the repair of the gable end of my home which was an unexpected job found when another was about to start but needed to be dealt with quickly as the scaffolding was up and in place for the other job. He was able to accommodate within a month which is unusual and was VERY appreciated. He was not the cheapest option but the manner and way in which he described the work and reasons he felt one way was better than another made complete sense and he gave other unconsidered options as well. 'a thinking builder' in my experience can be a rare commodity but with James this is what you get. Workmanship was clean, tidy and well communicated with reasoning why certain things weren't done immediately and given time to set before the Next step undertaken given (not necessary but again appreciated - I imagine some would wonder why everything was completed in a day). Overall a great experience and I have several other jobs of small to potentially quite extensive in the future which James is quoting for me and I will certainly be calling when I want them completed.
