So walked in with my two girls, owners dog was walking around , we all said hello to the dog and stroked it. I went to get my dog food as the dog went to his bed, as my youngest went to stroke it again the dog bit my daughter. ( luckily not breaking the skin ) I told the gentleman behind the till, to be told my daughter should stay away as it was in his bed . Not even an apology. I explained that if that is the case maybe a sign up saying to stay away would be a good idea . To which he shrugged his shoulders! Needless to say I didn't buy from the shop and won't in the future . On sharing my story with someone else I was shocked to hear this isn't the first time they had heard of such a thing in the shop .

Rude and unhelpful shopkeeper. Most shops stay open until at least 5pm, however this one shuts at 4.30pm. I hadn't realised this and the shopkeeper was intent on closing bang on time. I was rushed and made to feel a nuisance. Added to this, I needed some advice and rather than being told to return another day when he'd be happy to help, I was dismissed out of hand. In fact his response was not only patronising but also very insulting. In contrast, I have recently been to a small pet sop in another town where nothing was too much trouble. If you want good service locally, you'd be better off going to Pets at Home. One star given because range of products seems OK if a little limited. I will never go to this shop again.
