I have had eye tests and updated my glasses for the past three years at this opticians and this year a family member was recommended to have a cataract removed. Not being used to this part of the world and hospital facilities I was surprised when it was suggested that the optician make arrangements for an appointment at a hospital in Chelmsford. We were told not to worry about travelling as it would also be arranged. Truly, in just under 4 months, from eye test to complete operation is quite remarkable, especially with transport return included. Joseph Lord Opticians must rate highly on customer care. Oh Yes, also aftercare is undertaken by the opticians. Value for money I have to say!!!

Friendly optician, thorough eye exam and takes time to fully explain everything and answer questions. Limited supply of glasses and the glasses are locked down which I don't like as you can't freely try on, but then I always go to a big store for glasses. For local eye tests I highly recommend.

Been here since I was little, was told I only wanted glasses for fashion. They then prescribed me reading glasses and said I didn't them after a year. Recently been to specsavers and they said completely differently, I'm genuinely short sighted a d now have prescribed glasses. Will never be coming back here again. Not to mention the fact they also got my dad's prescription wrong too. Been struggling at school for years, couldn't read the board, been going back and fourth and told I don't need glasses. Useless
