Electric Palace is an old restored cinema that puts on plays as well as films. Just to visit the building is a treat but to see a show was brilliant. Well worth a visit to hear the story and see the cinema in its true glory.

This is one of the oldest living cinemas in Britain (the world?) with a rich, interesting past that anyone should check out. It is another proud aspect of Harwich; the building itself is packed with history that more than makes up for the lack of popcorn available.

Exploring Harwich this morning, we came across the Electric Palace purely by chance. Standing outside admiring the architecture, the manager came out and invited us to look inside. WOW!!! What a GEM, beautiful!!!. The manager gave us the history of the cinema, an extremely nice Young man young
