We both had steak (mine well done, my partner's medium rare) and both arrived perfectly cooked. We had a bottle of pinotage with the meal which was not stupidly price.
The staff were very attentive, polite, there exactly when you needed them but not fussing over you.
It was a shame to see such a lovely pub so quiet, especially on a Saturday night, and I hope the locals realise what an absolute gem they have and support it as it deserves.
Wouldnt hesitate to eat here again and would highly recommend it
