        Small church surrounded by graves. Locked so we were not able to visit inside. Managed to take some photos through the window. Interesting place that we would have liked to see inside.

        Lovely old Church of England church in the wild & isolated hamlet of Kirkland at the foot of Cross Fell Cumbria. Kept in good condition and sharing its graveyard with the sheep. The church was locked with no information on the notice board of who to contact or which Sunday services were held. Pity we would have loved to visit.
