Recently bought a car from here and dealt with ollie the car cost 7440.00 after purchase i took the car to my mechanic who informed me that the car didnt have a catalytic converter fitted and that it would never pass an mot with one, also the rear brakes were in a terrible state,the parcel shelf locator clip was broken and the nearside headlamp rear cover was missing. I contacted ollie who bluntly informed me that the car WAS MOT compliant (wrong,its illegal) and that if it was such a problem i should just buy a catalytic converter (very expensive and not my responsability). I told him that i would be returning the car for a refund to which he replied their will be an admin fee of 300 to cover the cost of re advertising despite the fact the car was still on his website so its less of an admin fee and more like daylight robbery. So i returned the car where i was laughed at for making a fuss about the lack of the catalytic converter, when i told him the mot must have been dodgy he denied it (i cannot legally pass without the cat) anyway i got my money back less the 300 quid fee (i will be taking him to court to have this returned as the car was returned through no fault of my own) long story short avoid this place. The funny thing is out of the 2 reviews they have one of them is actually by ollie mckelvey who owns the place giving himself 5 stars and a glowing review business must be bad!!. See you in court for my 300.

I bought a vehicle from Southwood Motor Company in June. It seemed to be a genuine, reasonable mileage and one owner vehicle. Unfortunately there were a couple of issues on the drive home. The salesman I dealt with assured me that the vibration would be wheel balancing and asked me to get the wheels balanced. I took the vehicle to my usual garage who found a few issues. The salesman agreed to have the vehicle back for repair and I offered to rectify one issue myself (nearly illegal tyres). To their credit they fixed most issues but the attitude of snap diagnosis belittling the issue did annoy me, particularly when a noise on the steering was blamed on bump stops that the vehicle doesn't even have and despite me suggesting what the problem was)! This was another issue I had to fix myself. To top it off when I finally got the vehicle back one of the two keys was missing. I was told they'd post it but it didn't appear until weeks later, after I'd threatened court action.
