Newcastle centre is all over the place, dont understand why I was put on a placement with a company that mostly specialised in building with only small aspects of plastering? The manager of the company I did a days work for also didnt understand why I wasnt told that after I made it clear I only wanted plastering work to pro-active training. The tutors Gurdy, John and Steve are great and Ive learned a lot from them, but the organisation of placements that are relevant to training is below par.

Received a phone call from Elisia back in September asking if we wanting to take on a lad that wants an apprenticeship for 4 weeks and we would receive a 1000 incentive to take him on but if we didn't want to we would still get the 1000. The lad came out, cracking lad, keen to learn so we decided after the 4 weeks we would take him on but after we received the incentive. Weeks and weeks of phone calls to Elisia she filled us with rubbish every single time saying she's having problems with the link where we would apply for the incentive. Fast forward to the end of January and she rings up and says the funding has been cut and we don't qualify for the funding anymore. What a con. We will be taking this further with a solicitor. SCAM .. ROBBING THE GOVERNMENT OUT OF GRANTS.
