NO PARKING! There is no information on check in and how you do it. The door just opened after we knocked a few times and we guessed which room was ours by opening the lock boxes. It does not have parking (free or paid) and everywhere around is permit holders only this time of year. The rooms/apartments themselves were ok, kitchen equipment is very limited and dirty. No hairdryer provided or shower essentials. The mirror is very high in the bathroom and no other mirrors in the property. Very little hand soap and loo roll supplied so had to get our own for the week which is fine, had we known prior. Bed is adequate size and has a TV, albeit in an odd angle to the bed and sofa. No locks on toilets/bedroom doors so be comfortable with that. The ground floor room has windows that look onto the street, the blinds do not fully close. We have tried to contact OYO and the sister hotel and had no answer. I would recommend not staying here as too much hastle, there seems to be other, nicer hotels around.

On arrival we were more than shocked by the derelict appearance of the building. We had not been given any contact details or information on how to check into the building either by Agoda or the owners. We managed to contact Agoda by phone but were left holding on for more than 20 mins whilst they tried to contact the owners. Eventually we were told someone would come to let us in. This didn't happen. The owner spoke to us over the intercom doorbell and told us how to get into the apartment. This all took more than an hour. No apologies for the lack of info or inconvenience. Thankfully the inside was much better than the outside and the apartment was spacious and clean but in urgent need of maintenance.

This "guesthouse" is cheap for a reason. Right from the start the front door isn't very inviting - it needs painting and has weeds growing out of both sides. The noise from the traffic is more than noticeable - the property is close to the part of the road where the speed limit changes and there's a bus stop close to the property. The room was a fairly decent size but for some strange reason was made up to sleep 3 people despite being listed as "sleeps 2", so there was less room than there should have been. The room is not very well laid out - if you want to watch TV you either have to move the sofa or put the pillows at the foot of the bed. None of the furniture matched. We pulled the sofa out and found a dead slug under it. There were thick cobwebs throughout the property. The bathroom is ridiculous - The mirror is too high and is the only mirror in the property, the shower screen leaks, leaving a big puddle on the bathroom floor and the shower head is heavy enough to hurt someone if it falls off. There's no towel rail or toilet roll holder, the tap doesn't extend over the sink far enough, and you can't close the plug to keep water in the sink. And the lighting is very poor. Oh, and if you're driving there, please be aware that there's no parking outside the property - you have to park on one of the side streets, if you can without annoying the residents. The best part of our stay was the excellent communication with the booking agent Sally - she was very helpful and apologetic and instrumental in getting us a full refund for the inconveniences. She deserves a medal and a raise!
