Three stars because of the welcome by the owner who was really helpful and kind, that alone was just lovely, but Im afraid and really sorry to say, my god the roast we had over Easter was absolutely awful. Raw vegetables, minimal portions and I mean really minimal, tough hard meet, burnt roast potatoes, hardly any gravy, it was just bad in every sense. It didnt reflect the paid. The glass ware and decor is very dated and in need of huge modernisation . Dirty cutlery. Sorry but unless things change I cant recommend this venue. (Updated: this is not bogus or weird but honest. I can give it much less stars but the owner was welcoming. That is honestly how the meal was cooked and we were too polite to make a fuss plus we had our son with us and didnt want him to be upset so just took it on the chin and paid up. I get if this wasnt the norm but I wont know that and this is based on my experience which is the whole point of leaving a review isnt it. Im not saying to anyone to not go this is just based on my experience which I still stand by 100%)

What a lovely place. Fantastic dinner and a wonderful breakfast this morning. Highly recommended. Food & drinks: Yummy.

This place is an absolute hidden gem, one of a kind and is our favourite place to go to eat! The food here is always of the best quality, good sized, really reasonably priced, absolutely delicious and its really lovely home cooked food. The landlady is such a lovely lady and nothing is to much trouble! Part of the reason we return again and again is because its so welcoming, warm and friendly and like a home from home really. I rarely write reviews but this place deserves one for sure. I recommend this place so highly to anyone staying in the area or local if you havent been youre missing out. I can promise you one thing , you will not be disappointed!
